A Welsh hill farm for more than 300 years, the farm is situated above Cwmbach Village, Aberdare, with stunning views over the Dare Valley to the front of the property with designated open countryside to the rear. Our broadleaf wood, which in spring is filled with bluebells provides shelter for all types of wildlife and birds throughout the year, making it a perfect place to relax after a day's activity and enjoy nature, whatever the season. Our two unique 17th century beamed stone cottages and two studios have been sympathetically renovated combining original features with comfort factors such as under-floor heating which ensures warmth and comfort. Each provide a sitting room/kitchen/dining area with inglenook fireplace and log burning stove and each having a galleried loft style bedroom accessed in Melyn via the original stone staircase and Arian via a Vicorian spiral staircase. The ground-floor studio apartment provides a wide-access; the first floor studio is accessed via an external staircase with wooden sun-deck on the side of the cottage. Each unit has TV/Video, broadband access and a fully equiped kitchen. Stunning views can be enjoyed from the windows of the south facing cottages which look directly across the valley and down to the twinkling lights of Aberdare. Each cottage has secure parking and its own semi-secluded outside barbeque area with comfortable furniture where one can relax and enjoy summer and winter sunshine at leisure. As well as being in the very heart of the industrial heritage trail we are forty minutes from Swansea and the stunning beaches of the Gower Peninsular and twenty minutes from the buzz of cosmopolitan Cardiff.
